AC TUNE-UP

System Inspection & Safety

  • Inspect overall AC system performance

  • Check thermostat calibration and operation

  • Verify proper system startup and shutdown

  • Inspect safety float switch

  • Inspect electrical panel and disconnect for safety

Refrigerant System Diagnostics

  • Check refrigerant pressures

  • Measure superheat and subcooling

  • Check for refrigerant leaks (visual inspection)

  • Measure temperature split supply/return

  • Verify proper defrost cycle (heat pump systems)

Indoor Unit (Air Handler)

  1. Inspect evaporator coil (accessible areas)

  2. Inspect blower wheel and housing

  3. Test blower motor operation and RPM

  4. Check air filter 

  5. Inspect insulation and cleanliness inside the air handler

  6. Check static pressure (if accessible)

Drainage & Airflow

  • Flush and treat condensate drain line

  • Inspect condensate pan for rust or leaks

  • Test drain and float safety switch

  • Verify airflow at supply vents

  • Inspect ductwork condition

Outdoor Unit (Condenser)

  • Inspect and clean condenser coils

  • Inspect outdoor fan motor operation

  • Check fan blade condition and balance

  • Inspect contactor points for wear

  • Inspect capacitor values (µF test)

  • Inspect refrigerant line insulation

Electrical Testing & Final Report

  • Tighten electrical connections

  • Test compressor amperage, voltage, and startup components
